The 1st Annual National Braille Press Golf Tournament brings together golf enthusiasts, supporters of braille literacy and the blind community for afternoon of golfing and comradery. Proceeds from this Golf Tournament will help National Braille Press bring the printed word to children and adults. For 96 Years NBP has been dedicated to provide access to information from children’s’ books to text books. This tournament serves as a platform to raise funds and awareness for the National Braille Press (NBP), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting braille literacy and providing accessible materials for blind and visually impaired individuals.
The event is held at the West Warwick Country Club (https://www.wwccgolf.com/) in West Warwick, Rhode Island and should provide a challenging yet enjoyable experience for participants of all levels. The tournament hopes to unite players of all levels by their passion for golf and their commitment to supporting the visually impaired community.
The day will also incorporate various on-course activities including a longest drive contest, blindfold putting challenge, and hole-in-one prizes followed by a celebration steak dinner, silent auction & entertainment!
