We cannot begin to address racism without understanding our past. Here we have a team of historians and experts to provide historical context. Historian Vernon Burton (Justice Deferred), political commentator and strategist Heather McGhee (The Sum of Us) and historian and Vineyard Haven resident Patricia Sullivan (Justice Rising). Moderated by lawyer, social justice advocate and Oak Bluffs resident Barbara Phillips.
Tickets start at $55. Each ticket includes signed copy (book plate) of one book of your choice. (Choose from Justice Deferred; The Sum of Us; or Justice Rising.) Additional books will be available for purchase on site.
You must be fully vaccinated to attend. If you are unvaccinated, please watch the event virtually through our website. Seating is outdoors in a tent on the Museum grounds.
