Enjoy a performance by the Musicians from Marlboro at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on January 22 as a part of the Sunday Concert Series.
Each summer, leading young professional musicians train with master artists in the rural town of Marlboro, Vermont. Musicians exchange ideas, rehearse over 200 chamber orchestra pieces in depth, and perform weekend concerts. The Musicians from Marlboro are led by pianist and artistic director Mitsuko Uchida, and internationally recognized for their sense of discovery and passion.
The program will feature: Michelle Ross & Carmit Zori, violin; Rebecca Albers, viola; Alice Yoo, cello; Nicholas Phan, tenor; and Lydia Brown, piano. The group will perform: Haydn, String Quartet in D Major; Beethoven, Irische Lieder, WoO 152 (selections); Vaughan Williams, On Wenlock Edge; and Beethoven, String Quartet in C Major.
Often a sell-out event, the Sunday Concert Series will take place on Sunday, January 22 at 1:30 p.m. in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s Calderwood Hall, located at 25 Evans Way, Boston, Mass.
