Joan Lincoln, born in the United States, has lived outside of the United States for four decades on four continents, in a life dedicated to strengthening human connection. This immense life experience has offered Joany a multitude of lessons on music and culture. Through live piano improvisation, original compositions and other performative elements, Joany will share and illustrate some of her learning. She will explore how music both shapes and is shaped by peoples’ life experiences, the theme of music as a universal language, and the social impact of music in the lives of adults and in the education of children.
