NOTE: If I haven't hiked with you ever then please answer the following questions via comments BEFORE signing up for the hike:
1.Have you previously hiked in the Whites with an elevation gain of 3000 ft? Please list them.
2. Do you have all the required gear?
Join me on this climb of Mt Whiteface and Passaconaway, two peaks in the NH48 4000 footer list. While both these summits are wooded there are excellent viewpoints on the way. The hike itself is on a well maintained and beautiful forest covered trail which makes this an excellent hike to see the fall colors. Also if its hot we can potentially end this hike with a splash in the Wonalancet river to make this day extra special!
We will first climb Mt Whiteface via Blueberry ledge trail. This trail is also in the 25 terrifying list, however
there is very little exposure until the last half mile up to the summit of Whiteface. Form there we will extend and walk along the ridge for a scenic walk along Rollins Way to get to Passaconaway. From the wooded summit of
Passaconaway we will go north for a quarter mile to a great viewpoint and break for lunch. From there we will take the Dicey Mills trail all the way back to the trail head to end this glorious day.
Distance: 11.3 miles
Elevation gain: 4038 ft

My expectations of the group:
Let’s all try to have fun and hike as a team. While everybody is most welcome to join you will have to stay within reasonable distance of the rest of the group and not race ahead. I would like for us to hike as a group. I am a fellow enthusiast and not a paid expedition leader. I am not responsible for your safety and preparedness! So, if you are unprepared and slowing the group down, I expect you (and this includes myself too) to have the grace to turn back and wait at the trail head.
There will be a mandatory gear check at the Medf parking lot and you shall be turned back, sans a refund,
if you don't have the proper gear.
