Bring awareness to how you use your hip joints and sacrum, and their relationship to the rest of your skeleton. If you’d like to sit, stand and walk with greater ease, you’ll benefit from this series.
[Fun fact: you have no "pelvis." You actually have a three-part structure: your sacrum in the center, surrounded by what we're calling your ischial wings. Because there's no word in the English language for them! ]
You learn most movement practices from the outside in, by imitation. The Feldenkrais Method® invites you to learn from the inside out. Take your discoveries into another movement practice or into your everyday life.
All you need are:
• A blanket or mat
• Loose-fitting clothes
• Curiosity
Discover Yourself from the Ground Up, upcoming workshops:

December 10 "Reaching the Top: Your Head, Neck & Eyes"
Join for one or come for all! Sign up for all four and get a special package rate!
The Method
The Feldenkrais Method® is a unique, potent approach to improving human movement and catalyzing learning and change based on principles of physics, neuroscience and physiology, and the conditions under which the nervous system learns best. Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc. (1904-1984), a physicist and the first Western black belt in judo, developed the techniques and theory.
Angela Alston helps people reconnect with their innate strength using the Feldenkrais Method. She has practiced meditation and Feldenkrais® since 1996, and has taught since 2010. Learn more about training with Angela at Roots of Strength: https://rootsofstrength.net/.
