Monadnock is a very popular New England hike with beautiful views near Jaffrey, New Hampshire. We will hike White Dot and White Cross Trails which is about 1800 feet in elevation and 3.8 miles total.
Previous hiking experience in the White Mountains is required (something with similar elevation gain is preferred) and you should be in shape and maintain regular cardio.
If you don't have the gear, you will not be allowed to join the hike. No exceptions!
What to bring:
Required:
- Hiking boots
- Non-cotton layers
- 3-4 liters of water
- Electrolytes
- Snacks and lunch
- Map of the trail (AllTrails/digital map is fine)
- Positive attitude! We will be hiking together, so we should try to be good company for each other.
Optional :
- Hat
- Hiking poles
- Sunscreen
- Headlamp
Posted return time is approximate. We could stop for the food on the way back if the group agrees.
