A futuristic techno performance played only with robots
Moritz Simon Geist is German Musician and Artist working with robots. In his futuristic techno performance "TRIPODS ONE", he uses small machines and mechanics to create techno music - played only with robots!
The small mechanics and physical tone-generators housed within the sculpture produce the distinct sounds of this performance. The machine represents a futuristic sound device, playing contemporary electronic music through robotic means. Throughout the performance, Moritz Simon Geist is present on stage, actively controlling and interacting with the machine.
The installation was developed through an extensive design process, featuring several design and functional prototypes. Technologies such as 3D printing, CNC milling, and laser cutting were integral to its creation. "Tripods One" is a continuation of Geist’s previous work with music robots, including the "MR-808 Drum Robot" and the "Glitch Robot" series.
