The Museum of Science, Boston is celebrating humankind’s achievements in space exploration with the Moon Landing 50th: One Giant Anniversary! The weekend will feature presentations from Apollo 11 engineers, special shows at the Charles Hayden Planetarium, space-related hands-on activities, and more. Through a wide variety of activities and programming, the Museum will celebrate all that has been accomplished and all that is to come for humanity and the Moon.
Special guests for the weekend’s events includes Apollo engineers Don Eyles and Bruce McCoy who will give a first-hand account of their experiences working on the Apollo 11 mission team, and MIT Professor Dava Newman who will discuss her research on new spacesuit technology in preparation for humanity’s return to the moon and beyond.
