Join me on this 6.3-mile loop trail near Jaffrey, New Hampshire. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 48 min to complete. This trail is excellent for backpacking, birding, and hiking, and you'll unlikely encounter many other people while exploring. It is a popular trail with some great views guaranteed at the top, and the trail itself is gorgeous. You will see beautiful blooming spring wildflowers, some bird watching, with a bit of rock scrambling near the top. It provides a nature walk, a moderate-length trail, and some scrambling near the top. The weather looks bright and sunny on the day as well. You'll need to leave pups home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail.
This is not a beginner hike, so you must have some prior hiking experience.
Monadnock State Park charges an entrance fee of $5/adult and $2/youth. Annual Passes are also available for purchase. For more information, please see https://www.nhstateparks.org/planning/schedule-and-fees/fees
