Meet our titular character – his name rhymes with ‘Japan,’ his pants don’t fit, and his schemes to humiliate his less-than-progressive boss are at the center of Bill Irwin & Mark O’Donnell’s music-hall adaptation of Moliere’s classic commedia, “Scapin.” This play has everything: women playing men, men playing men, women playing men playing women, hats, a piano, sobbing, dancing, tumbling, a classic chase scene, romance, rivalry, charades, and not one, but TWO deus-ex-machinas.
Bring your friends, bring your family (minor innuendo and a couple of swears, use your judgement if you want to bring your young children), bring your boss (minor scene of a boss being beaten up with some sticks, use your judgement), or just bring yourself – but don’t miss your chance to see this unique, hilarious, completely bonkers piece of theatre.
Run time approximately 90 minutes with one intermission
