Join the Sudbury Historical Society (www.sudbury01776.org) for its 3rd Annual House Tour, “Modern Architecture: Mid-Century to the New Millennium,” Saturday, May 6, 2017. Learn about Sudbury’s mid-century buildings and architects, neighborhood development, and how newer contemporary homes have taken inspiration from the design principles of the 1950s and 1960s. Each ticket includes an informative collectible tour booklet with a map of the nine participating properties and other sites around town. On the second floor of The Grange Hall (326 Concord Road) view an exhibit of mid-century style, from home furnishings to textiles and jewelry, along with items from the SHS collection.


Tickets cost $25 for SHS members and $30 for non-members. To purchase tickets in advance online, visit www.eventbrite.com/e/shs-house-tour-modern-architecture-mid-century-to-the-new-millennium-tickets-33138373768 or mail a check payable to the Sudbury Historical Society (322 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA 01776). Tickets can also be purchased day of the event.


Doors open at The Grange Hall at 10:00 a.m. Tour sites will open at 11:00 a.m. ending at 4:00 p.m. If you enjoy history, architecture, and mid-century design, you won’t want to miss this community event! Proceeds from this fundraiser support the Sudbury Historical Society’s efforts to build the Sudbury History Center at the Loring Parsonage.
