Minni virtual workshops are designed to keep little ones ages 4–10 creating from the comfort of home. Each themed workshop focuses on skill development, simple repurposed materials and unique ways to engage with our environments.


In Minni SculptureShop – Doughy Donuts (virtual) students will celebrate their favorite dessert just in time for National Donut Day! Instructor Maria will show students how to turn a simple salt dough recipe into messy sculptural sweet treats.


Materials Needed


1 cup of flour


½ cup of salt


½ cup of water


Medium sized bowl for mixing


Spoon for mixing


Tempera paint in 2–3 colors (we recommend having some white paint on hand as well)


Paint brush


Liquid glue


Items to decorate a donut with, such as paper shapes, confetti, beads and pom poms


We encourage all participants to complete a fun scavenger hunt challenge or warm-up activity before we gather for each workshop. For this workshop, think about every detail of your favorite donut! Write down key words or phrases as you think of colors and decorations, or draw your donut with markers or colored pencils!
