Stitch your schedule together with a little creativity + design! Grown-ups of all ages, artistic abilities and inclinations are welcomed to Minni Design + Wine – Boro Mending with Sophie Truong, a creative evening of relaxation and textile TLC. Local fiber artist + designer Sophie Truong will offer an introductory lesson on Boro mending, an ancient Japanese method of reinforcing and repairing clothing. Participants will learn several mending techniques including sashiko stitching, patching, darning and joining to repair and refresh their own clothing and textiles brought from home.


Each participant is welcome to bring one item for mending, such as a blanket or a favorite pair of timeworn jeans.
