A 4-session computer programming class using Java based around creating mods for Minecraft.


Making mods involves writing, or rewriting, Java source code, and is a fantastic way to learn about how large scale, structured software projects come to be. Participants will learn how to structure basic Minecraft mod files to create new blocks, custom items, crafting recipes, etc.


Participants in this class don't need to already know Java, but they should be familiar with programming and computation in some context (Scratch, for instance), and should be able to read and type.


$80 for four class series
