Spring is Here!!! The Milton Garden Club will hold its annual Perennial Sale on the lawn of the Milton Public Library on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, rain or shine on the lawn of the Milton Library.
The treasures for sale include perennial plants from member’s gardens and other distant nurseries specially selected to thrive in Milton’s environmental conditions and to bloom year after year. Milton Garden Club members will be available to answer questions about the plants and to provide gardening advice.
The club continues its core mission of promoting gardening, education and service in an increasingly busy environment. The Perennial Sale helps the club support its town scholarship and five Milton gardens for the public to enjoy. The five gardens are the historic Fletcher Steele/Spalding Garden (in restoration), the Lily Corner at the intersection of Brook Road and Canton Avenue, the tulip and perennial garden at the Milton Public Library, the Trailside Rain Garden and Blue Hills Gateway Native Plant Garden at the Trailside Museum and the grounds at the Powder House on Canton Ave. In addition, members fill town planters with seasonal color and maintain the horse trough diagonally across from the library. The Milton Garden Club is a member of The Garden Club of America.
Come early for the best selection of perennials as our plants do sell quickly!
