CHRISTMAS EVE from 11:00 PM to 11:59 PM
An intimate worship prayed from our Copley Square altar and shared via FacebookLive and, on our website, through Vimeo, this service will conclude our holy day together.
Telling once more the story of the babe born in a manger, we will sing quiet settings of “O little town of Bethlehem” as we gather; “Away in a manger” as we anticipate the Gospel; “In the bleak midwinter” as we reflect on the Nativity narrative; and “Silent Night” as we light candles on the very edge of the Incarnation.
CHRISTMAS DAY RADIO HOUR starting at 6:00AM
On 12/25, tune in to our 'Christmas Day Radio Hour' at dawn, or whenever you like during the day and enjoy the beautiful sounds of Christmas along with a sermon preached by the Rev. William Rich. Tune in here: https://trinitychurchboston.org/media/christmas-day-podcast
CHRISTMAS DAY at 8:30PM
Compline is a simple office including a confession of sins, one or more psalms, a short reading from scripture, versicles and responses, the Lord's Prayer, collects which ask for God's protection during the night to come, and the canticle Nunc dimittis. A hymn for the evening may follow the short reading from scripture. The collects may be followed by a time of silence, along with free intercessions and thanksgivings.
The service starts on page 127 of the Book of Common Prayer.
Our service begins at 8:30 pm, but the room will open at 8:15 pm for friendly chat. Please join us!
