Join us for a screening of "The Blair Witch Project" on 35mm at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
A viral phenomenon filmed on a minuscule budget, "The Blair Witch Project" shook a generation to its core and made us think twice about venturing into the woods. This chilling “documentary” uses found video footage to tell the tale of three film students (Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard, Michael C. Williams) who have traveled to a small town to make a film about the Blair Witch, a legendary local murderer. Over the course of several days, the students interview townspeople and gather clues to support the tale’s veracity. But the project takes a frightening turn when the students lose their way in the woods and begin to hear terrifying sounds.
"The Blair Witch Project" is presented as part of "On the Fringe: Adventures in Cult Cinema," an MFA Film series screening throughout 2019: bit.ly/2GHkSKZ
