A group exhibition by an interdisciplinary group of art educators: with Lucas Amaral, IZ//HALL, Olivia DiBella, Jessie Jenkinson, Aryanna Martinez, Paris Stone, Sasha Torres, and Evan Wilson.
There's a famous line by Joan Didion: "we tell ourselves stories in order to live." She calls out a reminder; that the stories we tell are a mirror reflection of specific values. The group exhibition, MEMORYHOUSE, similarly calls out stories about personal significance; to live. We present sharings of childhood trauma, the craft of learning, decolonial gaming, spiritual growth, and glitch. We focus on homage, of musical communion, a poem written for a loved one, and a postindustrial home. Real or a dream, we search for an in-between. Hear us now.
MEMORYHOUSE is supported by MassArt, Art Education’s Capstone studio. We'd like to thank Julia Harrington, Rachel Oswald, Erik DeLuca, and Beth Balliro.
