Every year before Memorial Day weekend, the Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund and hundreds of volunteers create a majestic garden of 37,000+ flags at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Boston Common. The flags represent every brave Massachusetts service member who gave his or her life defending our country since the Revolutionary War. Volunteers are needed to help plant the flags on Wed, 5/22, to help watch/care for them Wed, 5/22 - Mon, 5/27, and to retire them on Mon, 5/27.
