Drop-In Art Making: Handmade Paper
10 am–3 pm
Huntington Avenue Lawn (rain location: Education Center in the Druker Family Pavilion, 159)
Celebrate creative reuse, found materials, and biodiversity by making handcrafted paper. Transform paper recycled by staff from across the Museum into new, handmade sheets embedded with native, pollinator-friendly, and pesticide-free wildflower and meadow seeds.
Art Fair with Mission Hill Main Streets
10 am–4 pm
Shapiro Family Courtyard
Mission Hill Main Streets works with local businesses, residents, and institutions in Boston’s Mission Hill neighborhood to revitalize local businesses and strengthen the community. Drop by to meet some of the local artists who partner with the organization, including: Monjuree Yousuf, a figurative oil painter who explores daily life through deep colors inspired by her Bangladeshi roots; Joseph Melanson, a weaver influenced by the SAORI weaving movement; and Kay Mathew, a photographer and member of the Mission Hill Artists Collective, whose black-and-white images uplift the ordinary moments of daily life.
