On November 8, please join Newton Community Pride for an intimate evening of conversation with Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart at the Showcase SuperLux in Chestnut Hill. Jim Braude, co-host of Boston Public Radio, will serve as moderator and interview Lockhart about his extraordinary musical career, his experiences collaborating with a diverse range of artists, and his remarkable 28 years leading the Boston Pops.
Newton Community Pride is thrilled to offer this special evening as our 2nd annual event honoring a Newton resident who is an outstanding leader in the field of arts and culture.
With seemingly endless energy, Lockhart has led the Boston Pops in more than 2,000 concerts, has performed in every imaginable setting—including the Super Bowl—and has collaborated with nearly 300 guest artists, drawn from the worlds of classical and popular music, rock, jazz, sports, politics, Broadway, and Hollywood.
"Keith Lockhart is one of my favorite people. I'm thrilled to partner again with Newton Community Pride, the perfect organization to showcase Keith's immense contributions to the arts. Trust me, attendees will learn he's as entertaining a talker as he is a conductor," Braude stated.
