Meditate in Back Bay - Tuesdays from 7-8pm on May 2, 9 and 16. Learn the basics of meditation and explore simple Buddhist practices to transform the patterns of your mind. Take some time to relax, recharge and connect with other meditators. Location: 67 Newbury St., second floor of the Church of Covenant. Everyone is welcome.
Our mind has limitless potential. But we can easily find ourself stuck in repetitive ways of thinking and behaving. Buddha taught many gentle methods to help us transform our mind and break free from old habits. Buddha also taught ways to stabilize more realistic, constructive and positive views, intentions and actions. It all starts with understanding and transforming our own mind. And we can do it!
This Tuesday evening meditation class will take a practical look at Buddha’s teachings on the nature and function of our mind. Each week will include:
May 2 - Taking care of ourself
May 9 - Strategies for dealing with difficult people
May 16 - How to be both relaxed and confident
$12 per class.
$28 for the May 3-part series.
Free for members.
Monthly free outdoor meditation in the Boston Public Garden resumes Friday, April 21.
Location: These classes are held at the Church of the Covenant, 67 Newbury St.
