MBTA Wachusett Ski Train - Travel from Boston to Wachusett Mountain

Travel from Boston to enjoy a winter getaway to Wachusett Mountain!

Wachusett Mountain is already considered the most accessible ski area in the eastern USA, according to SKI Magazine. Now getting here from Boston is even easier! MBTA Commuter Rail Service is available from North Station in Boston to the nearby Wachusett Station on the Fitchburg Line. Enjoy a complimentary shuttle from Wachusett Station to the mountain during select arrival/departure times.

2024/2025 Winter Ski Train Schedule:

The following Fitchburg Line trains will feature a specifically modified coach equipped with racks for ski and snowboard equipment.

Saturdays and Sundays

Pickup at Wachusett Station

Train:

• (1401) 9:22am
• (1403) 11:52am

Dropoff at Wachusett Station (Leave Ski Area 30 minutes before listed times)

Train:

• (1410) 4:25pm
• (1412) 6:25pm
• (1414) 8:55pm 

Shuttles leave the mountain 30 minutes before train departure times.
