Learn how to make plastic yarn and crochet a sleeping mat for youth experiencing homeless in this interactive workshop.
Join Audrey Lin to learn about her senior project - Matting Change - and get involved with making plarn (plastic - yarn) and learn how to crochet a mat. Matting Change organizes people in the Boston area to crochet sleeping mats using single use plastic bags for young people experiencing homelessness.
No experience necessary! Materials will be provided, but if you have them, please bring all your single use grocery bags and/or Q sized crochet hooks.
This event is recommended for ages 16+. Children may be accompanied by an adult.
