WHAT: Officials at The Massachusetts Coalition for Serious Illness Care’s third-annual summit will highlight The Coalition’s progress on current goals, announce recent research findings and survey results, and engage attendees in an open dialogue regarding advance care planning and opportunities available for the year ahead.
WHEN: Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 from 10:30am – 2:30pm
WHERE: John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Columbia Point, Boston, MA 02125
WHY: The main goal of the Coalition is to ensure that everyone in Massachusetts receives health care that honors their goals, values and preferences. Everyone in Massachusetts, ages 18 and older, is encouraged to name a health care proxy and to have conversations with their loved ones and clinicians about what matters most to them concerning their care. Summit attendees will be updated on current Coalition initiatives and engage in a discussion on making progress with major public health issues such as advance care planning.
HOW: Registration for the summit is now open online. For more information on the Massachusetts Coalition for Serious Illness Care’s goals, membership and recent findings, please visit our website.
