Awafi is back, with the full mashwyat (barbeque in Iraqi arabic) spread. Iraqi barbeque is a staple back in Baghdad, sold on the street, or served at home with a variety of mezze. It is a favorite of all Iraqis, our Iraqi Jewish family included!


This is a ticketed event with two seatings: 5:30 and 7:30PM


Choose between lamb kebab, vegan eggplant, and kosher beef options for your mashwyat plate. Accompanying your meal is basmati rice, and our signature homemade samoon (Iraqi flatbread). Each meal comes with an appetizer of sambusak ibtawa (fried spiced potato pastries), and a full table of mezze - salads, pickles, and spreads, to create your own combination of flavors.


Now for some logistics:


Seating is community style, so there's no assigned seating and you'll be sharing mezze plates with your neighbors.


The seatings are at 5:30 and 7:30pm sharp. That means, arrive on time. Like, on time, on time. We won't be able to accommodate late arrivals.


We are committed to paying our servers, waitstaff, and back of house employees a fair wage, so you'll notice that tip is already included in the meal. Tickets are $35 including gratuity.
