This workshop is designed to reduce stress and increase success — all levels welcome!
Created specifically for artists who are trying to figure out how to get their work “out there” or to jumpstart previous work they’ve done, in a fun and informative one-day seminar.
Morning SESSION: How artists can think “outside the box” and enjoy the marketing process. Are you trying to get your work “out there” and don’t know where to begin? Have you been struggling to understand how to market your work and don’t know what to do? In this session, you will identify challenges and establish your goals. Individualized homework will be assigned.
LUNCH BREAK
Afternoon SESSION: How to make social media work for you. From Facebook to Instagram to Kickstarter (and more), which is the most appropriate to achieve your goals? Please note: 'Maximizing Your Presence' is key.
Instagram is 'hot' so we will cover topics such as timeliness of posts, getting the most out of hashtags, connecting with other accounts, and engaging with other users to maximize your exposure. Also will discuss the business aspect of Instagram, including how to sell your work by strategic posting and building effective networks. We will conclude on what works, what doesn’t, and, most importantly, what makes sense for each artist.
The session taught by practicing artists and art marketing experts: Lisa Goren and Jennifer Jean Costello
