Glass fusing is the bonding of separate pieces of glass by high heat, administered in a kiln. It is one of the the fastest growing art mediums of today! It’s easy to learn the basics of glass fusing, it’s fun and the possibilities are endless.
New to glass fusing? Don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place. At The Glass Bar, we work with beginners everyday, accessing each individual’s skill level. We have developed a master plan to ensure that each student is calm and confident before we move on.
Glass fusing classes at The Glass Bar are your perfect opportunity to explore a new art form with no commitment!
Jordan, the owner of The Glass Bar, has been passionately devoted to glass work since she first began working with the medium in 2011. She also has a background in education, and is eager to work with students of all skill levels. She has designed her glass fusing classes with beginners in mind, (no experience necessary!)
You might be wondering what is glass draping. We will discuss these processes in depth during class. For now, glass draping is a process used to create organically shaped glass bowls and vessels.
This is a two-hour long workshop, in which you will receive an in-depth lesson of glass cutting, shaping, and designing. You will also learn all about the kiln firing process, and why it is important when glass draping.
