Description:
Bag four 4,000 footers in Maine; Saddleback, The Horn, Bigelow West Peak, and Bigelow Avery Peak. These peaks offer sweeping views of the Longfellow Range including Mount Abraham, Sugarloaf, Spauding, Blue, and several other peaks. The plan is to camp at Rangeley Lake State Park, hike the Bigelow's Saturday then hike Saddleback and the Horn on Sunday. For Saddleback, we'll take the ski trail up to the AT and follow it to the summit of Saddleback Mountain and The Horn. We'll come back the same way, totaling 8 miles. The Bigelow's, https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/maine/fire-wardens-horns-pond-and-appalachian-trail-loopwe'll be doing the loop, bagging North, West, and Avery Peaks, totaling 12 miles.
