Description:
Bag three 4,000 footers in one weekend, Abraham, Saddleback and the Horn. Mount Abraham is 4,050 ft., Saddleback is 4,120 ft., and the Horn is 4,023 ft. We’ll be leaving later in morning and getting there by the early afternoon, grab lunch along the way before heading onto the trailhead for Mount Abraham. The goal is to get to the summit of Mount Abraham and enjoy a sunset. Mount Abraham has incredible 360 views of the surrounding mountain ranges and has one of the largest alpine zones in Maine. We’ll hike down, drive to the Trout Brook Campsite and sleep for the night. We’ll sleep in then head to the trailhead for Saddleback, where we’ll be bagging two peaks, Saddleback at the Horn. Both also offer incredible views on their respective summits. After the hike, we’ll get dinner before heading home.
