In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, Broken Cup Teahouse is pleased to collaborate with the Loring Greenough House to offer a tea seminar and tasting. You will get to hear about the history of tea's origins, taste through 3 of our artisanal teas brewed gongfu-style, and experience the beauty of each in your cup.
What Makes A Tea A Tea? Did you know that all true tea comes from a single plant species, Camellia sinensis? It's the processing style that determines its genre classification. And beyond being simply classified as a white, green, yellow, oolong, black, or dark tea, there are a myriad of other factors that contribute to a tea's ultimate identity - aka what makes a tea that specific tea.
About Broken Cup Teahouse: Broken Cup Teahouse is a Cambridge, MA-based, Asian woman-owned small business that specializes in sourcing single-origin, artisanal teas directly from tea makers China, Taiwan, and Korea, and brings people together over tea to experience beauty in a cup.
