Kicking off for the first time this Thursday, Vela Seaport's summer music series will begin with vocalist and songwriter, Melissa Mandel, a recent graduate from Berklee College of Music, and her band. Melissa's unique sound is reminiscent of Karen Carpenter, and is heavily inspired by artists of that era including: The Carpenters, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Cyndi Lauper. Grab dinner and delicious drinks at Vela while winding down with local live music.
