Expectations:
You must be comfortable hiking in winter conditions and have all of the required gear below or you will be turned away. You are joining like-minded enthusiasts and are responsible for your own safety and preparedness. You are responsible for having a map of this hike (digital/physical); this is not a guided hike. You agree and follow the COVID guidelines.
What to bring:
Waterproof, winter-hiking boots
Snowshoes (If necessary)
Microspikes
Gaiters
Waterproof and windproof pants & shell jacket.
Non-cotton layering system, which includes a base layer.
Insulated coat
Snow pants (optional)
Hat
Winter Gloves
Facemask and Googles
Headlamp (in case we hike into the night due to early sunsets)
2-3 liters of water that won't freeze. (Insulated water bottle or other method)
Food (Snacks/lunch). You will be burning a lot of energy!
Hand and toe warmers (optional)
Extra battery for electronics and water proof container/bag for electronics/valuables (optional)

I will check gear for this hike at the pick-up location and at the trailhead for non-carpoolers. For your safety, you will not be allowed to join the hike without the gear. You are allowed to participate only if sign up for this event on Ridj-it. No exceptions!
