This year’s LexFUN! Puppet show is Cinderella! Set in the 18th century and featuring a dozen lavishly costumed 30” marionettes, this production of Cinderella is a Tanglewood Marionettes showpiece. The story unfolds as the pages of a giant book open to reveal each beautifully painted setting — the village square, the rustic kitchen, the magnificent ballroom, plus many more. All your favorite characters are here, from gentle Cinderella to the bumptious Step-Sisters and the charming Prince, and each marionette is manipulated with precision and grace by our talented puppeteers.


This telling is based on the original beloved tale, but offers a few new surprises: Cinderella’s method of conveyance to the ball is NOT your traditional coach-and-four, and, when all hope seems lost, a clever little bluebird saves the day. A classic fairy tale told with wit and style, Tanglewood Marionettes’ production of Cinderella is a treat for all ages.


The production will be presented by the Tanglewood Marionettes on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm and is approximately 45 minutes in length. The rain date for this event is Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the same show times.


General admission tickets are $10 for LexFUN! Members and $12 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased online or with cash or check at Michelson’s or Maxima Book Center in Lexington Center or with cash or credit card the day of the show. Children 12 months and younger are free.


The show will be outside at Bowman Elementary School so please bring a blanket or chairs to sit on. Come join us at this outstanding performance!
