Levitate Music & Arts Festival is three full days of music and arts at the historic Marshfield Fairgrounds, just 30 minutes south of Boston. Now in its 11th year, Levitate Music and Arts Festival will take place over the Fourth of July weekend, July 5-7. Headlining talent will come from the newly reunited Sublime feat Jakob Nowell, son of founding member Bradley Nowell, Mt. Joy, and Lake Street Dive, plus Dirty Heads, Tash Sultana, Cory Wong, The Elovaters and more. 


Sticking to its local roots and unique curation, it effortlessly pairs national touring acts (often with deep connections to New England) alongside up-and-coming local talent in an eclectic weekend celebrating the cultural and creative roots of the region. FOOD & DRINK

 

Over 30 Food Trucks are welcomed to the event grounds the weekend of the festival. All food vendors are locally sourced, offering a plethora of options such as farm to table, barbeque, handmade pizza, delicious baked goods and smoothies. We carefully select all of our vendors to fit our grassroots vibe.

 

Our bar scene is a family affair, operated by the same crew that runs our restaurant, Rexicana Surf Cantina. Our bar team works tirelessly throughout the weekend to bring fans ice cold beverages including craft beer, ready to drink cocktails, and eco-friendly canned water.


LIVE & EXPERIENTIAL ART  


Art and Creativity has always been a core value of Levitate, and we are always excited to dream up new art installations, and welcome live muralists from across the world to our festival site.


ART VENDORS

 

In addition to our live and interactive art installations, we also welcome over 60 artisan vendors to the Festival each summer. Hand blown glass, locally thrown pottery, and original artwork are just a few examples of the celebration of creativity at Levitate.


KIDS ZONE

 

Levitate is a family friendly event and features many activities for kids to engage in. Our kids zone operates each day of the festival and is run by our Levitate Camp Counselors! Encouraging creativity and sharing our love of the outdoors with the next generation is at the core of Levitate’s mission.

in 2023, levitate was able to divert 44,057.8 lbs from the landfill! We are proud of our clean recycling and composting stats, thanks to our dedicated green team:

Levitate was founded in 2003 as a community-focused surf and skate shop that steadily grew through local support and grassroots marketing. Over the past 20 years, these original core values of community, creativity and a connectedness to nature have been woven through all aspects of Levitate’s growth with husband and wife, Daniel and Jess Hassett, leading the charge. What started as the surf shop’s 10 year anniversary party, has grown into the East Coast’s premier boutique music and arts festival.
