Join us on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 7 pm, for a virtual panel discussion with talented MassArt alumni and learn their career-oriented advice from both creative and neurodivergent perspectives!
Meet three accomplished MassArt alumni and learn career-oriented advice from both creative and neurodivergent perspectives! Hear powerful first-hand accounts of their experience, skills, and suggested tips on leveraging creativity at work and advocating for oneself in various situations. Learn about how new technologies and evolving work environments have set these creatives up for success despite the challenges they have faced in their professional lives.
Leveraging Your Creativity at Work is being presented by the MassArt Alumni Leadership Council, with support from Alumni Relations, the Academic Resource Center, Career Development, the Counseling and Wellness Center.
PANELISTS
Kristine Sanchez Henson ‘09 (she/her) is an Associate Creative Director – Experience Design from Newport, Rhode Island. At EY Design Studio in New York, she leads teams on a range of digital products for various Fortune 500 companies. She advocates for design culture and education in the workplace, builds inclusive communities where designers feel supported, and pushes for shared resources and design systems to improve day-to-day work. She especially enjoys organizing and teaching design classes for new designers starting out in the industry.
Lenya King ‘09 (she/her) is a Product Experience Design Lead at Mastercard’s new research and development division in NYC. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design and has over a decade of professional work experience in industries that include education, finance, healthcare, advertising, and fashion. Since being diagnosed with a disability 20 years ago, Lenya has collaborated with others to create more inclusive spaces, both inside and outside office walls. She continues to leverage her experiences and expertise to help bring greater understanding and support to neurodivergent folks.
Halley M. Palmer ‘08 (she/her) is an AuDHD (ADHD and Autistic), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, and business owner. She specializes in working with Neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ folks at her mental health practice, The Therapy Guild. Outside of her practice, Halley enjoys collaborating with others to produce online content related to tabletop and video gaming, exploring the world as neurodivergent and/or queer, and building community. Halley is a leader, artist, and event organizer with the Community of Applied, Spiritual and Therapeutic Tabletop Gamers (CASTT Gamers). Halley has been a presenter and panelist at the Therapeutic and Applied Geek and Gaming Summit, TogetherCon, Save Against Fear, and TPKCon.

Nancy Glazer Pearl ‘88 (she/her) is a proud MassArt Alumna. With over 20 years of experience as an award-winning creative director and 6 years as the founder of a successful digital marketing company, she offers small businesses and non-profit organizations marketing strategies to achieve their objectives. Nancy supports and celebrates Neurodiversity as a concept that regards individuals with differences in brain function and behavioral traits as part of normal variation in the human population. She believes that the movement of Neurodiversity is about uncovering the strengths of neurodiverse individuals and utilizing their talents to increase the innovation and productivity of society as a whole.
