Saturday & Sunday, February 8 & 9, 10:00am – 2:00 pm


This workshop combines letterpress printing with binding a hardbound booklet, using the images and pages printed during the first session as materials for the booklet construction during the second. On the 8th, attendees will learn the basics of lead typesetting, use the Vandercook No 4 proofing press, choose from a wide selection of printer’s blocks, and print text and images for their booklet. On the 9th, attendees will take their printed material and use them as covers, endpapers and binding pages for a hardbound journal that they will make themselves.


Pressmaster Ted Ollier will teach the first session, and bookbinder Cody McCoy will teach the second session. The cost includes tools and materials for the bookbinding portion.
