Let's let go of disability stigma.
Join MassAbility at City Hall Plaza on December 10th, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. We're building a giant 4-sided cube installation you can help decorate with hand-written notes about letting go of disability stigma.
Dealing with a disability comes with challenges. And the stigma around disabilities doesn’t make it any easier. Stigma makes us ashamed, judgmental, and judged ourselves. That stigma lies in all of us, people with and without disabilities. So let’s rid our minds of stigma. Because once you do, people with disabilities can stop dealing with them, and start living with their disabilities.
When we fight stigma together, we can build a community among young people.
MassAbility works to expand what’s possible for people with disabilities through programs and services in careers, home and community life, and benefits and rights. Learn more at mass.gov/MassAbility or follow us on social media @MassAbility_MA.
