A network of residents and community organizations invite you to join us for the “Lean on Me” Allston Brighton candlelight vigil. This vigil is for community healing for those who have been lost due to racism and violence.
Boston’s Youth Poet Laureate, Alondra Bobadilla, will perform at the Lean On Me Allston Brighton Vigil. Alondra is a Fenway High School student and she is the first Youth Poet Laureate in Boston.
Physical distancing will be enforced and masks are required. In lieu of individual signs, we will have a banner where attendees will have the opportunity to share thoughts, reflections, and stories.
For those who aren’t able to attend in person, the vigil will be livestreamed via Allston Brighton CDC’s Facebook page, where people can hold their own vigils in their homes and submit pictures/comments which be added to a community album.
