Now that Mary Jane has been welcomed (by some) to the Commonwealth, City Tap House is bringing “LaborBAKED Long Weekend” to Fort Point.
From August 31-September 2, it’s 4:20 all-day for three days straight while you dig into a collection of baked-themed beers, cocktails and shameless food specials. On the brew side, there is SweetWater Brewing Company’s 420 Strain Mango Kush Wheat Ale ($9) and Clown Shoes Beer’s Baked Goods ($7). If you’re looking for harder option to even out, sip on the Grateful Dead with a garnish of gummy bears ($12) or the Bloody “Mary Jane” with bacon, shrimp cocktail, pickle, olive and a casual cheeseburger slider ($20). Available all weekend, there are guilty pleasures like the Half-Baked Dessert – a chocolate brownie with pretzels, marshmallows and chocolate chips topped with vanilla ice cream filled with peanut butter cups, Heath bar and peanut butter Twix, finished with caramel, hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry ($15) – as well as a Munchie Menu ($5 each) with chicken fritters and a ranch dipping sauce; an onion ring platter with a BBQ-ranch dipping sauce; mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce; and, fried duck wontons with sweet chili sauce. On Monday, there is the Lobster & Clam Bake, a heaping pile of a half-dozen littlenecks, a 1.25lb lobster, corn on the cob, red bliss potatoes and andouille sausage ($45).
The three-day celebration is rounded out by music acts including DJ Sprino on Saturday night; DJ J-Wall at Sunday brunch; a live acoustic set at sunset on Sunday; singer/songwriter Kali in the daytime on Monday; and, the Royal Furs on Monday evening.
