On the coast of Kenya, where people impacted by disability are often shunned and viewed as cursed, three determined teenagers set out to challenge their community’s long-held stigma and climb Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. See the trailer here: https://vimeo.com/390653104/07d78b9b6e
After, we'll have a panel discussion with Cynthia Bauer and Leonard Mbonani, (co-founders of Kupenda) and the Kenyan youth who hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro. The filmmaker, Phil Knowlton, and one of the guides, Julia Spruance, will also join the panel.
Then join us for a fun reception at the Hamilton Restaurant and Bar (which is right next to the theater). We'll have appetizers, a cash bar, and a chance to mingle with the film stars!
Film entry is free but please RSVP to our Evite here: https://www.evite.com/event/00CFZND2A2GXJIT72EPKJXATWMBLSQ/rsvp?utm_campaign=send_sharable_link&utm_medium=sharable_invite&utm_source=evitelink
