Flutist Kristalis Sotomayor was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico. She has been guided in her music by her father since she was four years old. When she turned five, her father took her to the Escuela Libre de Musica Antonio Paoli in Caguas, where director Julio Ortiz accepted her to enroll. Flute professors Gilberto Diaz and Josue Casillas have contributed a lot to her growth, development, and musical ability.
Registration is not required but the limited amount of seating is first come, first served. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the Rabb Lecture Hall.
Boston Public Library's Wednesday evening concerts are presented in partnership with Berklee College of Music, and all concerts in the series are sponsored by Bank of America.
