The company presents a mixed repertory concert for six performers, featuring works from across the company’s five year history. All works in the company’s repertory are inspired by various aspects of the Japanese language and culture, ranging from Zen Buddhism to film to the 2011 Tohoku natural disasters. The company’s 2019-2020 season will include E.X.P.L.O.D.E, inspired by the seminal 1988 animated film AKIRA; Rebirth, a hyperphysical interpolation of visual artist Manabu Ikeda’s work of the same name; KYOSHO, the company’s first guest commissioned work by LAJAMARTIN; and a new commissioned work by Hannah Garner.
