Kintsugi Earrings Making Workshop at KO-KYOTO
Experience the beauty of imperfection in this beginner-friendly earring-making workshop inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi — the poetic practice of mending broken pottery with gold.
In this 90-minute hands-on session, participants will select from a curated collection of sea glass and ceramic fragments to create a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings using kintsugi-inspired bonding techniques. All materials are included, and no previous experience is required.
This is a great opportunity to explore the philosophy and aesthetics behind kintsugi in a creative and accessible way. Whether you’re a craft lover, a jewelry enthusiast, or simply curious about Japanese culture, this workshop offers a unique and meaningful artistic experience.
🟡 $45 per person (includes materials for one pair of pierced earrings)
🟡 Two time slots available: 2:00PM or 3:30PM
🟡 Hosted at KO-KYOTO, a refined Japanese artisan shop located in Boston
For those who wish to go deeper, KO-KYOTO also offers a follow-up class on traditional ceramic repair with real broken dishes.
Join us and make something beautifully imperfect.
