KAIROS will be hiring one apprentice and one dancer for the 2022-23 Season.
KAIROS’s choreography is developed collaboratively with company members through an immersive, inclusive process. Dancers' personal experience, perspective, artistry, curiosity, expertise, intellect, vulnerability, and imagination are layered into rehearsals; individual talents and commitment to craft play an integral role in the development of each project. Technical proficiency, ease with improvisation and a passion for collaboration are required.
Apprentices train with KAIROS for free, are offered performance opportunities, and are strongly considered for dancer positions with the company at the end of their apprenticeship. Dancers are paid an hourly rehearsal wage ($12-17 per hour) and are paid for all performances and events.
Rehearsals take place in Cambridge, MA on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12-4 pm (additional rehearsals TBD, based on dancer availability). Contracts run from September 2022 through June 2023, with the intention of renewal.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: JUNE 1, 2022
BIPOC, AAPI, and LGBTQIA+ dancers and performers trained in diverse dance styles are strongly encouraged to audition.
