Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) is the premier university in arts and performances. Five graduates of K-Arts now perform in Boston Ballet, two of whom are principal dancers. In its tour of North America, K-Arts Dance Company performs both traditional and contemporary dances in its rare appearance in the Boston area. The performance includesSogo Dance (small hand-held drums), Corban Olah (burnt sacrifice in Hebrew, symbolizing the holocaust), Aritocrat’s Dance, Love Song, and others.
The Festival is sponsored by Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Boston. A general admission is $20 (students are free), and tickets can be purchased at www.kcsboston.org.
