To celebrate Juneteenth, we will be hosting a peaceful march from Chelmsford Center to the front of McCarthy Middle School.


HISTORY: Juneteenth is known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, as this is the last day African Americans were legally enslaved in our country.


Cassandra West, CHS class of 2018, is now a Junior at Howard University. She reached out to other CHS Alumni to plan a rally on Juneteenth.


Juneteenth: Rally for Reform goal is to urge our community to adjust it's curriculum in schools to advocate and support our Black and Brown students, while teaching our White students the privilege they are born with.


Our Rally for Reform is a time to advocate for change. A chance to listen to Black and Brown speakers and learn from them. It is okay to be uncomfortable. We encourage it. Please listen and learn with an open mind.
