To mark Juneteenth, a day that honors Black freedom and Black resistance, join the nationwide weekend of action by attending this local event! We have three demands: defund the police, invest in Black communities, and for Donald Trump to resign.
Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.
From its Galveston, Texas origin in 1865, the observance of June 19th as the African American Emancipation Day has spread across the United States and beyond.
We are restarting our Friday weekly standouts from June 19 @ RT126 x RT135 @ 5-7 pm.
Focusing on BLM, we had activists from immigration justice, climate & environment justice, LGBTQ justice, Women's rights activists, Indigenous People's Rights, Voting Rights activists, Big Money Out of Politics and other Political, Social and Economic Justice join us. They will join us again.
Spread the word and share widely.
A peaceful protest.
