June 19th or JUNETEENTH as many of us know it to be, is a celebration held annually on the nineteenth of June by Black/African Americans (especially in the southern states), to commemorate emancipation from slavery in Texas on that day in 1865..
This is a day where our beautiful Black AF community can, like everyday, CELEBRATE US! It is a day of being in community with each other and celebrating our collective and intersecting history.
As a Black Boston-based Creative, being in community with others like myself is always a refreshing and a healing experience and so I would like to invite any Boston-based Black Creative who would be interested in being apart of The Diahann Project‘s (TDP) Complimentary Pop-up Portrait Session on Thursday June 18th (THE DAY BEFORE JUNETEENTH) between 4pm - 7pm to complete the registration for below.
